Job summary

Megah Transport Sdn Bhd in Ipoh invites an Operations Manager/Asst Ops Manager (Haulage) to join a fast-growing logistics team. You will lead daily operations, plan and schedule transport, and monitor driver movements to meet customer requirements with efficiency.

You will coordinate with Admin/HR, train staff, handle customer complaints, prepare movement reports, and ensure compliance with ISO, customs acts and government regulations in the logistics sector.

Qualifications

• Min Diploma/Degree qualification in Logistic or related field.
• Min 5 years’ experience in related field.
• Good command in Mandarin/Malay/English to effectively communicate with our diverse client base and stakeholders.
• Logistics background and experience with Shipping is a plus.
• Able to do job planning and scheduling.
• Proficient in PC Applications particularly in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Attend internal and external meetings to resolve issues arises and provide value-added solution.
• Provide comprehensive internal training for the team members.
• To verify and check the order.
• Counter check customer details, size for needed, type of lorry support and deadline.
• Manage and investigate customer complaint and feedback.
• Coordinate and liaising with the relevant parties.
• Job planning and scheduling.
• Close monitoring for driver movement to avoid any down time.
• Briefing and follow up with driver in order to meet the customer requirement and satisfaction.
• Involve in transport document acknowledgement and return.
• Assist to handle driver claim and reimbursement.
• Handle customer complaint.
• Prepare daily movement report.
• Liaise with Adm/HR Department for update the staff, driver status and lorry status.
• To perform any ad-hoc duties and reports as and when assigned/requested by the Management.
