Job summary

SHAL (Sea Hawk Global Lines) is seeking an experienced logistics planner to manage daily haulage operations, coordinating prime movers and trailers while maintaining timely deliveries.

You will guide drivers, monitor GPS, and collaborate with port authorities to resolve documentation issues, ensuring efficient billing and minimal delays. Strong Excel and bilingual communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years in haulage operations, container trucking, or logistics planning.
• Strong familiarity with Port Klang (Northport/Westport) procedures and terminal operating systems.
• Proficient in Transport Management Systems (TMS) and GPS tracking platforms.
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong command of Bahasa Malaysia and English; effective comunicação with clients and drivers.

Responsibilities

• Plan and assign daily delivery schedules for prime movers and trailers to maximize fleet utilization and ensure timely pickups/deliveries.

• Act as the primary contact for clients, providing real-time shipment updates and proactively managing delays.
• Ensure all Haulage Job Orders, Delivery Orders, and port documents are processed and returned for billing.

Job description

Key responsibilities

Plan and assign daily delivery schedules for prime movers and trailers to maximize fleet utilization and ensure timely pickups/deliveries

Brief drivers on trip details, monitor their GPS locations, and ensure they adhere to safety protocols and delivery windows

Coordinate with Northport, Westport, and various container depots for gate-ins, gate-outs, and troubleshooting any port-related documentation issues

Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing real-time updates on shipment status and proactively managing any delays

Ensure all Haulage Job Orders (HJO), Delivery Orders (DO), and Port Documents are accurately processed and returned for billing

Monitor trip records and fuel usage to identify ways to reduce empty miles and improve operational margins

Resolve operational hiccups such as container rejections, driver absences, or traffic congestion to minimize impact on the client

About you

Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in haulage operations, container trucking, or logistics planning

Strong familiarity with Port Klang (Northport/Westport) procedures and terminal operating systems

Proficient in Transport Management Systems (TMS) and GPS tracking platforms

Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel

Strong command of Bahasa Malaysia and English; ability to communicate effectively with both corporate clients and drivers

Fast learner, decisive under pressure, and highly organized with a can-do attitude

Willingness to be on-call to support operations during peak periods or night-shift emergencies
