City University Malaysia is seeking a hands-on F&B Cafe Purchaser to manage daily ingredient sourcing and stock coordination for two cafe locations in Petaling Jaya and Cyberjaya. The role focuses on keeping kitchens running smoothly with zero shortages and requires frequent travel between sites.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in cafe purchasing or kitchen operations, strong vendor negotiation skills, and basic Excel proficiency.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years hands-on purchasing, inventory, or kitchen ops in cafe/restaurant.
• Fresh graduates with F&B internship welcome.
• Own transport and willingness to travel between PJ and Cyberjaya cafes.
• Excellent verbal communication and dealing with local traders.
• Attention to expiry dates and basic Excel skills.
• Proactive, organized, and adaptable to fast-moving cafe environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily requisitions, issue POs, and follow up to avoid shortages.
• Source fresh produce, meats, dry goods, and packaging; gather quotes.
• Main contact for local vendors; negotiate prices and resolve delivery issues.
• Conduct stock counts at both outlets and inspect deliveries for freshness and accuracy.
• Monitor market prices, track spending, and organize invoices for Finance.
• Perform extra admin tasks as required by Head of Department.
