Job summary

Yat Ngai Manufacturing Sdn. Bhd. in Ipoh, Perak is seeking a hands-on Operations Coordinator to plan and monitor daily and weekly production activities. You will ensure targets, inventory control and smooth workflow across production lines.

The role includes coordinating site installation activities for solar water heater and solar PV projects, resolving operational issues and supporting lean initiatives. Fresh graduates encouraged to apply. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, Production, Operations Management or a related field.
• Fresh graduates or candidates with 0–2 years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
• Candidates with hands-on manufacturing, production planning or site coordination experience will have an advantage.
• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and take initiative.
• Willing to travel to project sites when required.
• Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily and weekly production activities according to orders, production priorities, material availability and finished goods stock.
• Monitor production progress and ensure production targets and delivery schedules are achieved.
• Coordinate with production workers to ensure smooth workflow and proper allocation of manpower.
• Monitor raw materials, components, work-in-progress and finished goods inventory.
• Identify material shortages and coordinate material requirements with the relevant departments.
• Monitor production efficiency, productivity, quality and wastage.
• Maintain proper production records, reports and documentation.
• Identify production problems and work with the team to implement practical solutions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S, Lean Manufacturing and process improvement.
• Ensure production activities follow company procedures, safety requirements and quality standards.
• Coordinate and support site installation activities for solar water heater and solar PV projects.
• Coordinate with site teams, contractors, suppliers and internal departments to ensure site activities are properly scheduled and executed.
• Monitor site progress, materials, equipment and manpower requirements.
• Assist in resolving site-related operational issues and follow up on outstanding matters.
• Coordinate the preparation and movement of materials and equipment required for installation works.
• Conduct site visits when required to understand site conditions and monitor work progress.
• Ensure proper handover and documentation after completion of site works.
• Assist management in improving production and operational processes.
• Develop and maintain simple systems, checklists and reports to improve visibility and control of production and inventory.
• Analyze production and operational data to identify areas for improvement.
• Support the implementation of new processes, tools and systems to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Perform other operational duties and projects assigned by management.
