Job summary

Fabulous Sunview Sdn Bhd is seeking an Engineer, Operations & Maintenance (O&M) for solar PV plants in Malaysia. The role focuses on monitoring, maintenance planning, troubleshooting, and data analysis, collaborating with technicians and clients to sustain reliable plant performance.

Reporting to the O&M Manager, the candidate should hold a degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with 1-2 years in solar PV, and be willing to travel to sites.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in solar PV systems (LSS experience preferred).
• Basic understanding of PV plant performance and maintenance processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coordinate site work and supervise technicians.
• Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Willing to travel to site and attend emergency call-outs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily plant performance, record operational data, and identify abnormalities affecting power generation.
• Analyse PV system performance (Performance Ratio, Specific Yield, system trends) and highlight issues or improvement opportunities.
• Prepare and submit O&M performance and generation reports to clients.
• Plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance activities (inspection, testing, troubleshooting).
• Coordinate and support breakdown response and rectification works.
• Lead and guide technicians during on-site maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure work quality, safety, and compliance with standards.
• Liaise with internal teams, clients, suppliers, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
• Recommend corrective actions and support continuous improvement of plant performance.
• Prepare field reports, technical updates, and maintenance documentation.

Job Summary:

• Experience handling equipment warranty claims and supplier coordination
• Exposure to calibration tracking and testing equipment management
• Ability to prepare presentation slides, meeting minutes, or documentation
• Experience supporting multi-site operations
• Ability to assist team members during manpower gaps
