Job summary

You will lead halal compliance programs, conduct audits of facilities, review applications, and liaise with local government bodies to uphold halal standards. The role requires a recognised qualification in Islamic Studies or Halal Management, formal halal certification, and 2–3 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Recognition of Islamic/Halal credentials required.
• Form al halal certification or auditor training essential.
• 2–3 years in halal certification or food safety auditing.
• Fluent in Malay and English.

Responsibilities

• Conduct halal audits and inspections of facilities to ensure compliance.
• Review and assess halal certification applications.
• Develop and maintain audit reports and documentation.
• Coordinate with local government and certification bodies.
• Provide guidance on halal requirements and regulatory obligations.
• Investigate consumer/business complaints related to halal standards.
• Participate in halal awareness campaigns and training.
• Stay updated on halal legislation and international standards.
• Assist in policy development and procedures for halal governance.
