Job summary

Oversea Enterprise Berhad in Malaysia is seeking a friendly Waitress/Waiter to greet guests, take orders, and serve food and beverages while upholding high service standards. You will coordinate with the kitchen, handle payments, and help maintain a clean dining area in a busy environment.

Ideal candidates communicate in basic English; Mandarin/Cantonese is a plus. The position requires physical stamina, shift work, and a customer‑oriented attitude to ensure a positive dining experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM qualification or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a restaurant or customer service role is an advantage.
• Able to communicate in basic English; Mandarin/Cantonese is an added advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-oriented with a positive attitude.
• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Present menus and explain menu items, promotions, and daily specials.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
• Serve food and beverages promptly and according to restaurant standards.
• Monitor guests' dining experience and respond to requests efficiently.
• Clear and reset tables promptly after guests leave.
• Ensure dining areas are clean, tidy, and properly set up at all times.
• Process customer payments and issue receipts accurately.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, escalating issues to the supervisor when necessary.
• Comply with food safety, hygiene, and company policies.
