Job summary

Qualifications

• Previous experience as waiting staff, service crew or in a similar hospitality customer-facing role is highly desirable
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact politely and professionally with diverse guests
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when taking orders and processing payments
• Physical stamina and the ability to work standing for extended periods during busy service times
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
• A positive attitude, team player mentality and willingness to support colleagues
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage offerings, or willingness to learn quickly
• Reliability and punctuality in attending scheduled shifts
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of customer service best practices and commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences

Responsibilities

• Greeting guests warmly and seating them at appropriate tables in a timely manner
• Taking accurate food and beverage orders from guests and communicating them clearly to the kitchen and bar staff
• Serving food and beverages to guests with professionalism, attentiveness and courtesy
• Ensuring tables are set correctly according to restaurant standards before and between services
• Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of dining areas, including tables, chairs and surrounding spaces
• Responding promptly to guest requests and addressing any concerns or complaints with a positive attitude
• Processing payments and handling cash or card transactions accurately
• Collaborating with kitchen, bar and other service staff to ensure smooth operations during service periods
• Adhering to health and safety regulations and maintaining high standards of personal hygiene
• Clearing tables efficiently after meals and resetting them for the next service
