Job summary

Hotel Equatorial (M) Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Restaurant Captain/Supervisor to lead guest service excellence and uphold safety and sanitation standards in our dining operation.

You will manage daily team performance, train staff, and ensure accurate order taking, timely service, and appealing presentation of Food & Beverage offerings, while maintaining best-in-class guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests promptly in a warm and friendly manner.
• Thank guests and bid them farewell, inviting their next visit.
• Assist guests with table reservations and seating.
• Ensure guests are served within the specified time.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of the menu and presentation standards.
• Communicate clearly with guests and staff; handle phone enquiries with proper etiquette.
• Assist with menu selections and accommodate dietary needs.
• Support with service techniques and serve Food & Beverage items enthusiastically.
• Present accurate final bills and process payments.
• Record orders in the POS system at the time of order.
• Coordinate with kitchen on menus, wait times and product availability.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and service stations throughout the shift.
• Close shift at the POS and tally cash/credit settlements.
