Job summary

LRQA is seeking a Business Development Manager (Assessment) for Malaysia to drive new business growth in ISO management system certification services, including GHG verification. Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of B2B sales/business development in certification or related services.
• Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets.
• Existing network within Malaysia's manufacturing, energy, logistics, or financial services sectors is highly advantageous.
• Experience selling ISO management system certifications (9001/14001/45001/27001/50001) or sustainability/GHG services.
• Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and business-proficient in English.
• Strong CRM discipline and forecasting accuracy.
• Self-directed, autonomous work style with clear metrics.

Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, and pursue new certification/assessment opportunities across target sectors in Malaysia (manufacturing, energy & utilities, ports & logistics, oil & gas, financial services, etc.).
• Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified opportunities at a minimum of 3x annual sales target.
• Proactively prospect via direct outreach, industry associations, regulatory bodies, and referral partners.
• Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, scoping, proposal development, negotiation, and close.
• Maintain 100% CRM hygiene with accurate close dates and next steps.
• Collaborate with technical/scheme managers and Marketing on proposals and campaigns.
• Provide market intelligence and forecasts to regional leadership.
