The ideal candidate has 10–15 years in manufacturing/EMS finance, with 5+ years in leadership, and solid knowledge of MFRS and taxation.

The Financial Controller will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial performance of YBS’s Penang operations. This role ensures financial discipline, compliance, and operational efficiency while supporting group-wide strategies and business growth, including expansion through mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
You will act as a strategic partner to operations and management, delivering insights, strengthening controls, and driving continuous improvement in financial performance.
Lead the full spectrum of finance and accounting functions for the Southern region.
Ensure timely, accurate reporting in compliance with MFRS and group policies.
Consolidate financial performance across sites for Group CFO reporting.
Monitor cash flow, working capital, and cost structures to sustain growth.
Drive annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
Provide variance analysis with corrective recommendations.
Partner with operational leaders to enhance profitability.
Strengthen internal control frameworks across all sites.
Ensure adherence to statutory regulations and audit requirements.
Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulators.
Collaborate with plant managers and functional heads to support decisions.
Provide financial leadership in new initiatives, investments, and M&A projects.
Align reporting standards with Group Financial Controller (Penang).
Lead, mentor, and develop finance teams across Southern Malaysia.
Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and high performance.
Ensure succession planning and talent development.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ICAEW) preferred.
10-15 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in leadership roles within manufacturing/EMS.
Strong knowledge of MFRS, taxation, and compliance.
Proven experience in multi-site financial management.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Analytical, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
