Job summary

Confidential Company in Kuala Lumpur is expanding its HQ finance team to support the renewable energy and O&G sectors. The role oversees financial accounting for management services, pre-operating and investment holding companies, and consolidation plus quarterly/annual reporting to the ultimate holding company.

You will review journals, assist with consolidation and reporting packages, liaise with external auditors, and ensure IFRS compliance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance required.
ACCA or equivalent professional qualification encouraged.

Responsibilities

Review and approve journals for monthly closing of investment holding/pre-operating companies.
Review consolidation and quarterly/annual reporting package to ultimate holding company for group reporting purposes.
Review group compilation for ultimate holding company.
Discuss tax matters with external consultant/group tax.
Prepare/review annual impairment assessment for investment holding companies.
Review audited financial statements for IFRS compliance.
Ensure timely submission of reporting deliverables to Group and liaise with external auditors.
Coordinate with Management Accounting, Accounts Payable, Treasury, Group Tax, Group Treasury and Company Secretary as needed.
Assist with ad-hoc tasks including board papers and process/system improvements.
