Job summary

Aurora Talent is seeking a seasoned Finance Controller to lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, oversee statutory reporting, taxation, audits, and regulatory compliance in Malaysia. You will provide technical accounting oversight and partner with senior leaders on performance, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic commercial decisions.

The ideal candidate holds CA/CPA/ACCA or equivalent, has 8+ years of finance experience within a multinational organisation, and deep knowledge of Malaysia

• Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and commercial skills.
• Experience in shared services/GDC, professional services, or finance transformation is an advantage.
• 8+ years of finance experience, including Financial Controller or Finance Manager in a multinational organisation.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close and reporting.
• Oversee financial controls, statutory reporting, tax, audit, and regulatory compliance.
• Provide technical accounting oversight and monitor balance sheet risks.

• Oversee billing, receivables, WIP, and cash collection activities.
• Drive finance transformation, process improvements, and system implementation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close and reporting.

Requirements

• CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• 8+ years of finance experience, including Financial Controller or Finance Manager experience within a multinational organisation.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysia & Singapore accounting, statutory reporting, taxation, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and commercial skills.
• Experience in shared services/GDC, professional services, or finance transformation is an advantage.
