Job summary

sdguthrie in Malaysia seeks an experienced Compliance Risk & Governance Specialist to support risk management activities, educate employees on regulatory risks, and provide assurance to the Board, GAC and Management that operations comply with laws, policies and good practice.

You will coordinate with operations and group functions to identify, assess and mitigate compliance risks, develop governance policies, and prepare awareness sessions on data protection, AML, sanctions and competition laws

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) required.
• 3-6 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of compliance, governance and risk concepts.
• Ability to apply laws and policies to operations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and assist operations to identify, assess and mitigate compliance risks.
• Collaborate with group functions to strengthen compliance and oversight.
• Review and update governance policies and GPA for relevance and guidance to directors and management.
• Prepare awareness sessions on core regulatory areas (data protection, AML, sanctions, competition laws).
