Job summary

RUNJIAN (M) SDN. BHD. is expanding in Malaysia and seeks an electrical/energy engineer to lead grid connection applications for solar PV and storage projects.

You will coordinate regulatory approvals, manage documentation, and liaise with TNB, SEDA, and Suruhanjaya Tenaga to ensure timely grid connections. The successful candidate will have 3+ years in renewable energy, strong knowledge of local statutes, and excellent communication to handle government enquiries and stakeholder relations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in renewable energy, especially solar PV or energy storage grid connection projects in Malaysia.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysia’s Electricity Supply Act 1990 and grid connection regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage grid connection applications for solar PV and energy storage projects in Malaysia, including OSC submissions.
• Coordinate regulatory approvals and licensing with authorities such as Suruhanjaya Tenaga and SEDA.
• Coordinate pre-connection inspections, project approvals, testing, and final grid connection.
• Act as main liaison with regulators and local authorities to manage stakeholder expectations and approvals.
• Assess grid capacity early in project development and mitigate risks to avoid delays.
