Job summary

Iron Mountain in Malaysia is seeking a Grid Connection Lead to join our Data Center Operations team. Based in Kuala Lumpur with regular travel to Johor, you will drive high‑voltage power delivery, navigate energy regulations, and secure grid infrastructure for our expanding footprint.

The role combines technical leadership with local market insight, coordinating with global energy teams, design and construction, and site delivery teams to energize projects on schedule while maintaining safety

Qualifications

8 to 10+ years hands-on experience with high-voltage assets or energy infrastructure.
Deep background handling high-voltage infrastructure within utility networks, renewables, rail/transit, or data centers.
Understanding of high-voltage grid interconnections and substation requirements.

Responsibilities

Stakeholder & Relationship Management: build trusted relations with Malaysian utility authorities (TNB, DCTF) for regulatory visibility.
Grid Connection & Power Delivery: lead HV power delivery (275kV/132kV) and ESA to meet energization schedules.
Cross-Functional & Regional Coordination: bridge Global Energy with local Design & Construction and project teams.
Site Management & Mobility: travel between Kuala Lumpur HQ and Johor site to monitor readiness.
Risk & Lifecycle Management: identify grid, site, easement risks to prevent delays.
