Job summary

Malakoff Corporation in Perak seeks a Lead, Interconnecting Facility to oversee engineering, construction and commissioning for the LSS5+ Solar PV Project. You will coordinate with TNB, consultants and contractors to achieve reliable grid connection within project timelines.

The role requires 8+ years in power infrastructure, HV systems and grid interconnection, with familiarity of TNB requirements. PE registration is favored; role is based on site in Perak.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years in power infrastructure, substations, transmission lines or grid interconnection projects.
• HV electrical systems experience, utility-scale solar or power generation is advantageous.
• Familiarity with TNB grid connection requirements, electrical protection systems, testing and commissioning.
• PE registration with BEM (Ir.) is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, construction and commissioning of interconnecting facilities (substations, transmission lines, electrical systems).
• Coordinate with TNB, consultants, contractors and authorities on grid connection requirements and approvals.
• Review designs, specifications, drawings and power system studies for compliance.
• Monitor progress, costs and schedules to ensure timely delivery.
• Oversee site activities, inspections, testing and commissioning for energisation.
• Identify and resolve technical risks and interface challenges.
• Ensure compliance with electrical regs, HSE and project specs.
• Provide progress updates to project management.
