Job summary

AMD in Penang, Malaysia invites a Senior Product Development Engineer to lead silicon bring-up, characterization, and yield optimization for next-generation processors powering HPC and data centers. You will mentor junior engineers, drive cross-functional problem-solving, and own test content and product definitions to ensure robust ramp-to-production.

The role requires strong data-driven mindset, proactive collaboration, and the ability to influence across global teams in a fast-paced NPI

Qualifications

• Strong technical depth in silicon bring-up, yield analysis, and test optimization.
• Mentor PDE1/PDE2 engineers and drive data-driven insights.
• Excellent communicator across global teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead silicon characterization & debug across PVT corners; analyze electrical behaviors and failures.
• Own yield learning for early silicon; track trends and guide test content improvements.
• Define or refine OPNs, fuse maps, and speed-bin rules to align with manufacturing capabilities.
• Mentor engineers and drive clear communication across product milestones.
