Hitachi Energy Malaysia is seeking a fresh graduate for a 12-month Field Service Engineer traineeship. You will gain hands-on experience in installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and service delivery while supporting customers across Malaysia and internationally.

The role emphasizes customer engagement, technical excellence, and business development, with leadership and product training throughout the program.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Power Engineering, or related STEM discipline.
• Strong interest in customer-facing engineering, field service, and working in dynamic site environments.
• Comfortable interacting with customers and stakeholders from different backgrounds and levels of seniority.
• Demonstrated leadership potential through internships, projects, or previous work experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform field service activities including installation, commissioning, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of power and energy equipment.
• Deliver exceptional customer experiences through professional on-site and remote support.
• Build trusted relationships with customers by understanding their operational challenges and identifying opportunities to improve asset reliability and performance.
• Act as a technical ambassador for Hitachi Energy, representing the company professionally during customer engagements.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical issues while minimizing equipment downtime.
• Support customers with technical recommendations, product upgrades, modernization opportunities, and lifecycle service solutions.
