Job summary

Sonepar Malaysia is seeking a pre-sales technical support specialist to back international project business (Singapore and Australia) from the SEA Shared Service Office. You will review customer specifications and drawings, prepare quotations and tender submissions, and provide pre-sales support across engineering, sales and operations to ensure compliant, competitive proposals.

About you: Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, 1–3 years in a technical or engineering support role,

• Ability to review and interpret customer specifications and drawings.
• Strong communication to interact with customers and internal teams.
• Willingness to collaborate with engineers, sales, operations and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret customer specifications, technical drawings and bill of quantities to identify product requirements and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Prepare quotations, cost estimates, technical proposals and tender submissions in accordance with customer and project requirements.
• Provide pre-sales technical support by recommending suitable product configurations and participating in technical discussions with customers.
• Evaluate technical requirements, perform basic engineering calculations and prepare supporting technical documentation as needed.
• Liaise with suppliers, principals and third-party vendors for pricing, technical information and delivery commitments.
