Ria Money Transfer is seeking a Database Administrator for the Global DBA team in Malaysia. The role focuses on MS SQL Server databases, ensuring high availability, performance, and security while overseeing backups, monitoring, and operations. You will work with global teams to maintain optimal production systems.

The position is hybrid remote with at least three in-office days weekly, supporting a 24x7 production environment and on-call rotations across shifts.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience as Microsoft SQL Server DBA (SQL Server 2016+)
• Experience with AlwaysOn Availability Groups and SQL Server Replication
• Experience in performance tuning, monitoring and troubleshooting databases

Responsibilities

• Own, track and resolve database incidents within SLAs; review backups and maintenance reports daily
• Respond to alerts, escalate and collaborate with DB engineering for strategic solutions
• Support 24x7 production environment with on-site/on-call rotation, including weekends and international teams
