Job summary

Phillip Securities Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Database Administrator to join our technology team in Malaysia. This full-time role focuses on managing and optimizing our database infrastructure to support operations and growth.

You will install, configure, monitor, and maintain SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL environments, ensure high availability, perform backups, and assist developers with database design and performance tuning. Strong communication and collaboration are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Database Administrator.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with high availability, disaster recovery, and security solutions.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and upgrade database servers and related tools.
• Monitor performance and optimise queries, procedures, and indexes.
• Perform backups, restorations, and disaster recovery planning.
• Maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and policies.
• Provide 24x7 on-call support for critical production systems (if required).
