Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive profitable growth by selling our full suite of power generation, chillers, CDU and digital/energy solutions in Malaysia.

You will develop long-term customer partnerships, expand installed base value, and maximize lifecycle revenue through consultative selling and value-based solutions. Travel across Malaysia is expected for this role.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Highly self-motivated, strategic, and results-driven.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field desirable.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in business development or high‑value, complex sales equipment.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales of complete solutions for power generation, chillers, etc.
• Identify new business opportunities within existing and new customers, focusing on total solution selling.
• Build strong relationships with decision-makers and influencers at customer organizations.
• Manage sales pipeline, forecast accurately, and meet/exceed assigned sales targets.
• Collaborate closely with service, engineering, and application teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Promote aftermarket services such as maintenance contracts, parts, and system optimization.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to refine sales strategies.
• Lead commercial negotiations, pricing strategy, and contract management.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction through proactive engagement and issue resolution.
• Participate in industry events, exhibitions, and customer engagement activities.
