Job summary

FedEx Logistics is seeking a skilled Payroll Manager to lead our payroll operations, ensuring accurate, on-time processing and strict regulatory compliance. You will manage the payroll team, oversee data integrity, and drive improvements in processes and automation across the function.

You will coordinate benefits, audits, and reporting while providing exceptional service to employees and stakeholders. A CPP designation and 5+ years of payroll leadership experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive payroll administration experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of payroll principles, practices, and regulations.
• Proficiency in payroll software and systems.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and perform under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead payroll operations with accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
• Oversee end-to-end payroll processing and distribution of payroll payments.
• Maintain payroll compliance with tax regulations and reporting.
• Administer payroll systems and ensure data integrity.
• Coordinate benefits deductions, contributions, and reconciliations.
• Perform regular payroll audits and prepare reports for management.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters.
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and introduce automation.
• Train and mentor payroll team members.
• Manage relationships with payroll service providers and ensure SLAs.
