Job summary

Intel Corporation is seeking a Payroll and Benefits Specialist within its Shared Services Centre (SSC) in Penang, Malaysia. The role delivers payroll and benefits services across multiple countries, ensures regulatory compliance, and resolves employee inquiries to sustain operational excellence and positive experiences.

You will work in a hybrid model, collaborating with Finance, Tax, Accounting and HR Legal, handling daily payroll tasks, liaising with vendors, and supporting payroll accounting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Finance, Accounting or equivalent business experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, to support global and regional stakeholders.
• Knowledge of payroll accounting practices and SOX compliance.
• Strong computer literacy with technical and analytical problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily administrative tasks across all payroll and benefits processes within established timelines.
• Collaborate with global and regional vendors to ensure quality and customer satisfaction targets are met.
• Maintain country-specific knowledge on legal and tax requirements to ensure compliance.
• Resolve employee queries within specified timelines and provide accurate guidance.
• Partner with regional HR Services teams to assist with program changes, issue resolution, and new initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to document retention, reporting, and audit requirements.
• Conduct ongoing analysis of current payroll and benefits processes to identify improvement opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with business partners such as Finance, Tax, Accounting, and HR Legal.
• Support payroll accounting processes, including general ledger interfaces and journal entries, with accuracy.
