Job summary

BAT DBS is seeking an Operations Performance Manager in Penang, Malaysia to lead NC Operations across markets, building supplier capabilities and standardising processes. The role drives KPI reviews, capacity planning, and continuous improvement with a focus on cost, quality, and delivery metrics.

Qualifications

• Engineering background in the electronic consumer industry (10 years).
• Proven track record of managing first tier suppliers and subsequent supply chains.
• Proven project management skills with robust action and recovery plans, focussing on maintaining delivery to schedule whilst applying permanent solutions.
• Experience working within monthly & weekly control cycles.
• Ability to call and facilitate effective reviews both internally and within the supply chain, prioritising actions and allocating accountability to deliver the targets we set.
• Bachelor’s in electrical or mechanical or engineering preferred

Responsibilities

• Daily liaison and supply base management for Quality, Cost and Delivery.
• Resolves supplier issues and concerns immediately which threaten supply and demand.
• Drives Manufacturing Performance KPI reviews daily / weekly.
• Delivers and manages an effective and flexible supply base.
• Ensures manufacturing capacity is optimised to deliver future demand.
• Assesses performance in the supply base to increase output without impacting quality.
• Works closely with the Supplier to deliver Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Ensures good Project Management principles are applied and all risks, issues and opportunities are correctly and timely communicated.
