in Penang seeks an experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily factory operations, plan production schedules, and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining safety and quality standards. You will lead production teams, monitor performance and costs, manage inventories and manpower, coordinate with QC, maintenance, warehouse, purchasing, and HR, and drive continuous improvement across the plant.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience in manufacturing or factory operations, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Good knowledge of production planning, quality management, inventory control, and process improvement.
• Ability to manage manpower, production schedules, and operational priorities effectively.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with production or inventory management systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily factory operations to ensure smooth and efficient production.
• Plan, organize, and monitor production schedules to meet customer requirements and delivery deadlines.
• Manage production teams, supervisors, and other operational staff to achieve production targets.
• Monitor production performance, productivity, machine utilization, and operational costs.
• Ensure products meet company quality standards and customer specifications.
• Coordinate with departments such as Production, Quality Control, Maintenance, Warehouse, Purchasing, and Human Resources.
• Monitor raw material inventory, finished goods, and production resources to minimize wastage.
• Identify operational issues and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety requirements, company policies, and applicable regulations.
• Prepare operational reports and provide regular updates to management.
