Job summary

Soprano Design (trading as Silver Street in Malaysia) is seeking an entry-level Network Operations Engineer to help monitor production deployments and ensure seamless service delivery for global customers. You will handle incident triage, restoration activities, and contribute to incident resolution in a fast-paced, global environment.

The role offers hybrid work (3 days in-office) with shift rotations, including some public holidays.

Qualifications

• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma or Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Telecommunication or equivalent.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication is required.
• Familiarity with networking concepts; cloud platforms like AWS is highly desirable.
• Some familiarity with Linux OS and SQL would be great to have.
• This role requires shift work, including public holidays, and a hybrid workplace with 3 days in the office.

Responsibilities

• Monitor platform alerts and system performance.
• Provide Level 2 support by triaging alerts from the console.
• Escalate major incidents to Level 3 engineers promptly.
• Manage incidents and maintain high-quality support with thorough logs.
• Participate in the 24/7 NOC roster as scheduled.
• Update and maintain internal Knowledge Base for training and distribution.
