Job summary

Getronics in Malaysia is seeking a network engineer to support the Network Security Operations team across APAC, China, and worldwide. You will design, build, and operate secure, scalable network infrastructure and lead project activities with global teams.

You will gather requirements, evaluate vendors, configure hardware, and prepare technical documentation to support go-live. The role requires work with Cisco/Extreme/Aruba devices, cloud platforms, and ensuring security and governance

Qualifications

Degree in IT, Computer Science or related field.
Strong knowledge of LAN, WAN, routing, firewalls, cloud platforms (Cisco, Extreme, Aruba, Palo Alto, AWS, AliCloud).
Experience in enterprise networking and infrastructure operations.
Ability to deploy and operate networks securely.
Experience with managed service providers or outsourced IT operations.
Strong communication skills in regional, multicultural teams.

Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and operate secure and scalable network infrastructure.
Lead global projects and advise on technical aspects.
Monitor performance, troubleshoot incidents, and optimize reliability and costs.
Ensure alignment with security, compliance, and governance standards.
Collaborate with global IT teams, vendors, and service providers across APAC/China/EMEA.
