Job summary

NXP Semiconductors Malaysia is seeking an IT Support Engineer to provide first-line support for ATIT users, ensuring SLA-compliant incident resolution and monitoring of critical systems. You will work with global teams across ATIT sites, support MES and tester workstations, and participate in 24x7 shifts.

Ideal candidates hold a IT-related degree, know Windows and Linux well, and have a customer-service mindset with strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field. Fresh graduates or <2 years experience encouraged.
• Good knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Experience or exposure to IT support in manufacturing, semiconductor, or industrial environment preferred.
• Knowledge of MES, automation platforms, engineering applications, or tester systems an advantage.
• Strong customer service and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work with global teams across ATIT sites.
• Fluent in English; other languages a plus.
• Willing to work on rotational 24x7 shift schedules.
• Relevant certifications (Microsoft, ITIL, Linux) advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line IT support for ATIT users and resolve incidents within SLA.
• Monitor applications, infrastructure, alerts, and ticket queues to ensure service availability.
• Troubleshoot issues related to end-user computing, business applications, and manufacturing systems.
• Support MES, shopfloor systems, engineering applications, automation solutions, and tester workstations.
• Collaborate with regional/global IT teams to investigate and resolve complex issues.
• Deliver remote support across multiple sites and countries with effective communication.
• Contribute to knowledge management through documentation and best practices.
• Participate in 24x7 shift operations to ensure continuous IT service.
