Job summary

Standard Chartered is seeking a Senior Head of Settlements to lead the global settlements function across GBS India and Malaysia. The role focuses on reducing settlement risk, improving control standards, and ensuring timely, accurate trade settlement across products, markets and currencies.

As a senior leader, you will partner with Trading, Sales, Middle Office, Product Operations, Treasury and Finance to manage deadlines, dependencies and aged settlement failures.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Global Markets Operations and Post Trade Operations.
• Proven ability to lead large settlements teams across locations.
• Experience strengthening controls and improving service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute global settlements strategy with clear ownership and escalation.
• Lead end-to-end settlements processes including instruction, matching, funding coordination and fail management.
• Drive automation, standardisation and data-led controls across locations.
• Develop and inspire a high-performing global settlements leadership team.
• Embed robust governance over performance, risk, and transformation delivery.
• Ensure regulatory & business conduct and alignment with Group policies.
