Job summary

BD Kuala Lumpur seeks a seasoned finance professional to lead the General Ledger governance across ERP environments, driving standardization, accuracy, and regulatory compliance. The role requires reviewing journal entries, maintaining balance sheet integrity, and overseeing accruals and prepayments while ensuring alignment with US GAAP/IFRS.

You will engage stakeholders across regions, support multi-entity consolidation, and contribute to SOX controls, BPO governance, and finance transformation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• Experience in regional/global shared service environment.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS.
• Experience with SAP and Blackline reconciliation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership of the general ledger across ERP environments and regions.
• Review and approve journal entries, accruals, reclasses, and adjustments.
• Ensure GAAP/compliance of outputs with internal policies and controls.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and period-end close discipline.
• Drive accruals & prepayments oversight, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
• Support US GAAP/regulatory reporting and intercompany consolidation.
