Job summary

BD Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a seasoned General Ledger & Accounting Governance leader to drive standardization of accounting processes across ERP environments and regions.

You will review journal entries, oversee reconciliations, manage accruals and prepayments, and ensure SOX compliance, US GAAP alignment, and timely regional reporting. Strong stakeholder leadership and technical accounting knowledge required.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent English communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience with SAP and Blackline reconciliation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership of the general ledger across ERP environments and regions.
• Review and approve journal entries, accruals, reclasses and adjustments.
• Ensure GAAP/IFRS compliance, internal controls, and SOX alignment.
• Oversee reconciliations, balance sheet integrity, and close processes.
• Lead cross-functional governance with BPOs and regional finance teams.
• Drive process standardization and finance transformation initiatives.
