Job summary

The Maples Group seeks a Senior Business Development Executive to join the Investment Funds practice. Reporting to the Senior Business Development Manager, you will help shape BD strategy, support CRM data management and coordinate client events, with a focus on targeted growth and cross‑functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a business development and/or marketing role in professional services
• Bachelor's degree or relevant professional qualifications
• Experience with InterAction or similar CRM systems for reporting
• Collaborative team player with ability to build relationships across local/global teams
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
• Strong project management, organisational, time management and administrative skills
• Proactive, hands‑on approach with a solution‑focused attitude
• Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects and budgets while staying calm under pressure

Responsibilities

• Support development and execution of BD plans aligned to practice group objectives
• Track and report BD activities, outcomes, follow-up actions, and ROI
• Use BD/marketing technologies and databases to support planning and measurement
• Coordinate planning and activation for events, sponsorships, client briefings and profiles
• Prepare high-quality credentials, proposals, pitches, and RFP responses
• Maintain CRM data, client lists, pipeline activity and reporting
• Coordinate with the BD Manager to prioritise activity and deadlines
• Support logistics, documentation formatting, scheduling and data entry with the BD Administrator
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across the firm
• Contribute to cross-functional projects to grow BD knowledge and capabilities
