Job summary

Evyap, a global leader with a strong footprint in Malaysia, is seeking a skilled freight procurement professional to drive cost-efficient strategies and vendor negotiations. This role collaborates across Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain to plan and book shipments while monitoring performance and compliance.

The ideal candidate has 7–10 years in freight/logistics, a Diploma or Degree in a related field, and strong analytical, negotiation, and time-management skills; SAP knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Transport, Logistics, or Business Administration.
• 7–10 years of experience in freight, shipping, or logistics.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation abilities.
• Good time management, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure.
• Familiar with Freight Market and Freight Rates negotiation.

Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate freight service providers (shipping lines, NVOCCs, airlines, transporters).
• Negotiate competitive freight rates, service contracts, and payment terms.
• Develop and maintain freight procurement strategies to achieve cost efficiency.
• Coordinate with Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain teams for shipment planning and booking.
• Monitor vendor performance and ensure timely shipment delivery.
• Prepare and maintain freight rate databases and cost reports.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and trade regulations.
