Job summary

SF Global Express (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a seasoned procurement and supplier management professional in Subang Jaya, Malaysia to develop and manage air and ocean freight suppliers, negotiate rates and terms, and drive supplier performance and cost control. The role covers end-to-end freight operations, compliance, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver high-quality service.

Responsibilities

• Procurement & Supplier Management: Develop and manage air and ocean freight suppliers, including airlines, shipping lines, freight forwarders, agents, and transport providers. Negotiate rates, capacity, service standards, and commercial terms while managing supplier performance and costs.
• Customer Solutions & Product Development: Develop air and ocean freight solutions, including import/export, FCL, LCL, and door-to-door services. Prepare competitive quotations, support sales activities and project tenders, and develop transport routes and products to meet customer requirements.
• Cost & Profitability Management: Monitor market rates, capacity, schedules, and route performance. Optimize transportation solutions, resource allocation, and operating costs to improve product profitability and service efficiency.
• Operations & Service Delivery: Oversee end-to-end freight operations, including booking, customs clearance, cargo collection, shipment documentation, loading, delivery, cargo tracking, and container returns. Resolve operational exceptions and major customer complaints while controlling additional costs.
• Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with customs regulations, aviation and maritime requirements, and company policies. Maintain alternative supplier resources, secure peak-season capacity, and develop contingency plans for operational disruptions.
• Team Development & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Provide operational and product training to team members, maintain SOPs, and coordinate with internal departments, global network teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth operations and high-quality service delivery.
• Reporting & Other Duties: Support project implementation, cost settlement, supplier performance reviews, and other duties assigned by management. Working Hours: Mon-Fri 9am-6:30pm, lunch break 12:30pm-2pm
