Job summary

Airwallex Hong Kong/Malaysia-based role in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Financial Ops Analyst to manage end-to-end client transaction lifecycles, monitor liquidity, and collaborate with Greater China and global Ops teams. The candidate will apply data-driven methods to improve processes, dashboards, and reporting, with strong English/Chinese communication.

Experience in payments, banking, or FX is preferred; proficiency in SQL, Python, Tableau/Looker, and MS Office is required or a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or above; more than two years experience in data/operations roles; background in payments, banking, FX preferred
• Ability to rapidly understand new products, goal/results oriented and stress resistant
• Strong communication skills and customer service consciousness are required
• Attention to detail; reading/writing in English and Chinese; bilingual work environment
• Experience with MS Office; SQL is required; Python and visualization tools like Tableau/Looker are a plus

Responsibilities

• Monitor end-to-end client transaction lifecycle globally, handle enquiries and detect data/report exceptions; coordinate with teams to resolve issues
• Monitor clearing and settlement of client funds and global money pools; support liquidity management and treasury efficiency improvements
• Maintain team knowledge base and refine standard operating procedures; explore operation optimization and automation tooling
• Assist to build data-driven team performance metrics, QA framework, and tooling to monitor and remediate operational risks
• Assist to set up compliant, accurate, and timely reporting data capabilities per regulatory and third-party requirements
