Job summary

Airwallex Hong Kong/Malaysia-based role in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Financial Ops Analyst to manage end-to-end client transaction lifecycles, monitor liquidity, and collaborate with Greater China and global Ops teams. The candidate will apply data-driven methods to improve processes, dashboards, and reporting, with strong English/Chinese communication.

Experience in payments, banking, or FX is preferred; proficiency in SQL, Python, Tableau/Looker, and MS Office is required or a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or above; more than two years experience in data/operations roles; background in payments, banking, FX preferred
• Ability to rapidly understand new products, goal/results oriented and stress resistant
• Strong communication skills and customer service consciousness are required
• Attention to detail; reading/writing in English and Chinese; bilingual work environment
• Experience with MS Office; SQL is required; Python and visualization tools like Tableau/Looker are a plus

The Role：

Financial Operations team aims to deliver operation excellence of client transaction lifecycle and manage liquidity to support company business growth across the globe. As a Financial Ops Analyst, you will have extensive interaction with the Greater China business stakeholders and closely partner other Ops teams in Greater China and internationally.

Responsibilities：

1. Monitor end-to-end client transaction lifecycle globally, handle enquiries, detect exceptions from data reports and dashboard in a timely manner, assist to communicate with teams and other departments to handle issues.

2. Monitor clearing and settlement of client funds and global money pools; drive data oriented approaches to support upgrade liquidity management system and fund risk management, and treasury efficiency and utilization.

3. Maintain team knowledge base and refine the standard operating procedures; support to explore operation optimization and process automation tooling.

4. Assist to build up data oriented team performance metrics, quality assurance framework and tooling to monitor, detect, and remediate operational risk areas and control defects to minimize errors

5. Assist to set up compliant, accurate and timely reporting data capabilities based on external regulatory and 3rd party requirements

Qualifications：

1. Bachelor degree or above, more than two years experience in data or operation teams. Payment industry, banking, foreign exchange, and other related background experience is preferred;

2. Ability to rapidly understand new products, goal/results oriented and stress resistant;

2. Good reading and writing skills in both English and Chinese, able to adapt to a working environment in both languages;

3. Experience with MS Office; technical skillset of SQL is required; Python, and visualization tools of Tableau, Looker is a plus;
