Job summary

VAT Vakuumventile AG in Malaysia is seeking a Capacity Planner to manage external supplier capacity, build data for S&OP and long‑term resource planning. You will consolidate capacity data, identify constraints, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support customer demand and forecast accuracy.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in planning and ERP/MRP usage, with strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business management or International Business or equivalent.
At least 5 years’ experience in planning of customer forecast, market intelligence and/or S&OP process.
Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and their use in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
Ability to demonstrate solid written and oral communication skills.
Good analytical problem solving ability.
Languages: English (German beneficial).

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, manage and improve capacity planning process incorporating external suppliers across X-tier levels.
Orchestrate X-tier actions to handle ramp up/down scenarios for markets or key accounts.
Perform analysis on forecast and supplier/resource levels to support S&OP decisions.
Monitor actual vs forecast demand and investigate major deviations.
Identify clusters and patterns to optimize capacity planning/strategy.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support customer demand.
Communicate with external suppliers regarding FC changes.
Coordinate implementation of planning strategies with internal and external stakeholders.
