Job summary

Opella is seeking a Head of Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Malaysia to lead growth, governance, and external partnerships. You will position the GCC as a strategic asset, drive capability expansion, and collaborate with leaders across functions to deliver measurable business outcomes.

You will champion a high-performing, inclusive culture, align talent development with business priorities, and strengthen Opella's ecosystem through strategic alliances and governance excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a Global Capability Centre or operating within a complex multinational environment.
• Experience driving organizational growth, transformation, capability expansion, or transition initiatives.
• Experience building partnerships with government bodies, universities, industry associations, or professional networks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and represent the GCC as a strategic enterprise asset for Opella, overseeing governance, service management, talent development, and performance transparency.
• Own the GCC cost base and optimize operating expenses, location economics, productivity, and investment decisions while ensuring delivery excellence.
• Build strategic partnerships with government, academia, industry forums, and the GCC community to strengthen Opella's reputation and talent pipelines.
• Partner with People & Culture to define and execute the Centre's people, leadership, and workforce strategy and foster an inclusive, high-performing culture.
