Job summary

TikTok is seeking a Data Understanding Specialist (German speaking) to bridge data collection, model development and labelling for the German market. You will ensure accurate structuring of unstructured data across video, image and text to support world-class ML solutions.

The role requires German fluency, English as working language, and a background in data analytics. You will collaborate with ML engineers, labellers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality data delivery on time.

Qualifications

• German fluency is required to communicate with German markets and stakeholders.
• At least 1 year of data or business analytics experience.
• Ability to interpret and analyze data; interest in AI/ML and data annotation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for requests and labellers.
• Some project management experience and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Define clear labelling rules for German content to ensure high-quality labelling.
• Train German labellers and simplify rules when needed.
• Monitor quality of labelled data and identify remediation needs.
• Identify areas for improvement to optimize delivery.
• Manage German stakeholders to ensure transparency in the data delivery pipeline.
• Deliver projects on time and flag risks.
