Job summary

Randstad Malaysia is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join our Technical & Design Department to support site matters across projects in ASEAN. The role involves analysis and design of geotechnical and structural elements, coordination of design works, and preparation of interpretation reports.

The candidate should hold a Professional Degree in Civil Engineering, with 3–5 years of relevant geotechnical experience. Proficiency in SAFE, Plaxis 2D, and Slope/W is preferred.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in Civil Engineering required or equivalent.
• Masters degree in Geotechnical Engineering preferred.
• Strong communication and documentation skills; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and design geotechnical and structural elements for projects.
• Coordinate design-related work across ongoing projects.
• Support tender work in ASEAN and local projects.
• Plan instrumentation and monitoring programs; review data and reports.
• Plan and manage site investigation activities.
• Review tender drawings and documents for compliance.
• Assist in any assigned duties and attend client meetings.

About the Company

We are working with multiple clients ranging including consultancies, contractors and specialized suppliers. They are seeking talented Geotechnical Engineers to join their Technical & Design Department to cater the required support for site matters.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for analysis and design of geotechnical and structural elements
• Design related coordination works for ongoing projects
• Design for local project but not limited to support for tender works in ASEAN
• Plan and manage instrumentation and monitoring, review monitoring data and prepare interpretation report
• Plan and manage site investigation works
• Perform review of tender drawings and documents to adhere to the requirements
• Assist in all assigned duties on an ad hoc basis
• Attend technical clarification and meeting with clients

Requirements

• Professional Degree in Civil Engineering, preferably with Masters in Geotechnical Engineering
• Min 3-5 years of experience in designing geotechnical works and geotechnical related structural works (foundation & retaining wall structural element)
• Proficient in SAFE, Plaxis 2D & Slope/W
• Experience in consulting firm is an added advantage
• Effective communication skills and enjoy interacting with people at all levels
• Process driven and great in documentation
• Meticulous, an eye for details and sharp in figures or number
• Positive attitudes/drive for result and willingness to learn
• Good self-discipline and ownership of tasks
