Slope & Earthwork Assessment: Evaluate natural and cut slopes, slope hazard risks, and slope protection measures (shotcrete, hydroseeding, gabions, geogrids).
Subsurface Interpretation: Analyze borehole logs and laboratory test data from Site Investigations (SI) to formulate reliable soil profiles and design parameters.
Authority & Client Deliverables: Produce high-quality engineering calculation reports, technical specifications, and design drawings for submission to local authorities (e.g., MBPJ, Public Works Department/JKR) and clients.
Instrumentation & Site Review: Interpret geotechnical instrumentation monitoring data (inclinometers, piezometers, settlement markers) and resolve site-specific geological and slope conditions during construction.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering recognized by the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
Experience: 3-5 years of dedicated design experience within a geotechnical consultancy firm.
Software Competency: Highly proficient in slope stability and wall design software (GeoStudio SLOPE/W, PLAXIS 2D, Slide, WALLAP) and AutoCAD.
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of soil mechanics, lateral earth pressures, slope remediation techniques, and retaining wall stability criteria.
