Job summary

Jora Malaysia seeks a geospatial professional to handle data processing, GIS deployment, and end-to-end GIS project delivery across land surveying, transportation and logistics. You will lead data integrity, map production and platform maintenance while collaborating with clients and internal teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in GIS/related fields, strong Python scripting, and proficiency with ArcGIS, QGIS and PostGIS. On-site Kuala Lumpur location with occasional travel support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Geographic Information Science, Surveying & Mapping, Remote Sensing, Urban‑Rural Planning, Computer Science or related fields.
• Solid understanding of GIS principles, spatial data models and coordinate-system transformation.
• Experience with large geospatial datasets and standard GIS workflows.

Responsibilities

• Perform geospatial data processing and database building with data integrity and standardisation.
• Deploy and maintain GIS information-based projects including map service publishing.
• Conduct spatial analysis and generate map visual outputs for business decision-making.
• Operate and maintain Web-GIS platforms; support integration with multiple map engines.
• Prepare technical documentation and provide client training and support.
• Continuously optimize workflows for data processing, map rendering and analysis.
