Job summary
CEKAP LINK TECH Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a GIS professional with 1-3 to 3-5 years of relevant experience to lead geospatial data processing, GIS deployment and end-to-end project delivery.
The role covers data processing, map production, and platform maintenance in support of land surveying, logistics and urban planning initiatives. The candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree or above in GIS, surveying, remote sensing, urban planning or computer science, with strong GIS software skills and Python
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in Geographic Information Science, Surveying & Mapping, Remote Sensing, Urban-Rural Planning, Computer Science or related fields.
- Solid understanding of GIS principles, spatial data models, map projection, topological relationships and coordinate-system transformation.
- Proficient in ArcGIS, QGIS and SuperMap; experienced in vector/raster processing, topology validation, spatial analysis and thematic maps.
- Hands-on experience with spatial databases including PostGIS, MySQL and Oracle; competent in database construction and data processing.
- Familiarity with Web-GIS visualisation technologies and mapping services (OSM, HereMaps, Google Maps, Mapbox); Python scripting advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Perform geospatial data processing and database building for diverse geospatial datasets.
- Deploy, maintain and support GIS platforms; enable map service publishing and function debugging.
- Conduct spatial analysis and map production to support land surveying, logistics and related workflows.
- Operate and maintain GIS platform performance; integrate multi-source map engines (OSM, HereMaps, Google Maps).
- Prepare technical documentation and provide stakeholder support; offer on-site and remote assistance as needed.
- Continuously optimise GIS workflows for data processing, map rendering and analysis.
