Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a maintenance technician for genset systems. Responsibilities include inspecting electrical systems, performing fluid checks and oil changes, and troubleshooting using schematics.

The role requires mechanical and electrical maintenance skills and willingness to work rotating shifts. Candidates should have a Diploma in Engineering with at least 1 year in genset maintenance, and will ensure quality through preventive care and proper documentation of manuals and spares

• Mechanically and electrically trained (maintenance).
• Able to commit rotating shifts, if applicable.

Job description

Conducts preventive maintenance inspection including servicing prior to genset start up.

Carry out maintenance and functional checks of genset and associated components in accordance with the company’s standard procedures, manuals, and manufacturer’s specification to ensure its serviceability condition.

Responsibilities

• Inspect electrical system
• Perform genset care tasks like checking fluid levels (coolant & enine oil) and changing oil fluids (coolant & enine oil)
• Read and understand electrical schematic diagram to troubleshoot the electrical/ technical issue
• Any ad-hoc duties as required
• Identify and rectify mechanical defects on genset
• Perform daily preventive maintenance to ensure reliability of genset

Complete and maintain manuals and technical documents pertaining to the repair and maintenance work carried out on genset.
Responsible for the cleanliness and tidiness of the working area.
Monitor, maintain and control the movements of all spares and materials, to ensure their proper usage and deployment, including the returning to stores of all the un-used spares and materials at the end of each shift.
