Job summary

TSM Automobile Sdn Bhd in Tawau District, Sabah, is seeking a General Worker to support daily operations in our automotive service centre. This full-time role involves assisting with workshop cleanliness, basic maintenance tasks, and helping the team deliver high-quality vehicle services.

You will assist mechanics, handle materials and inventory, prepare vehicles for service, and maintain records while following health and safety rules.

Qualifications

• High school qualification or equivalent.
• Willingness to learn and develop skills in the automotive industry.
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour and lifting duties regularly.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
• Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic.
• Basic understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Prior experience in automotive services, workshop environments or general maintenance is advantageous but not essential.
• Valid driving licence is preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with general maintenance and cleaning of the workshop and service areas to ensure a safe and hygienic working environment
• Support qualified mechanics and technicians with vehicle maintenance and repair tasks as directed
• Perform material handling and storage, including moving parts, tools and equipment safely and efficiently
• Assist with the preparation of vehicles for service and inspection
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to daily operations and tasks
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies at all times
• Perform general administrative duties to support the workshop team
• Assist customers with basic enquiries and vehicle collection or delivery when required
• Help maintain inventory of supplies, tools and spare parts in organised storage areas
