About the role

Nexus Resort & Spa Karambunai is seeking a General Cashier to join our Finance team. This position is based in Sepanggar, Sabah, and is essential to maintaining the smooth financial operations of our resort. As General Cashier, you will be responsible for handling all cash transactions, managing payment reconciliations, and ensuring accurate financial record-keeping. This role plays a vital part in supporting the overall financial integrity and guest experience of our resort operations.

Key responsibilities

Process daily cash transactions, including guest payments, refunds, and departmental cash collections

Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately and efficiently to record all monetary transactions

Reconcile cash registers and payment systems at the end of each shift to ensure accuracy

Prepare daily cashier reports detailing all transactions, discrepancies, and settlement information

Maintain confidentiality and security of financial information and cash handling procedures

Balance cash drawers and vaults, documenting all transfers and ensuring compliance with internal controls

Coordinate with other departments to verify charges and authorise transactions

Maintain detailed and accurate records of all financial transactions for audit purposes
