Job summary

Hyatt Regency Kinabalu in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, seeks a Security Officer to manage safe and secure operations aligned with corporate standards. You will patrol front of house, back of house and plant rooms, identifying fires and unsafe conditions and reporting incidents promptly.

Responsibilities include ensuring fire life safety systems are operational, performing emergency procedures and responding to alarms or lift rescues to protect guests and colleagues throughout the property.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Safety and Security.
• Minimum 2 years work experience as Security Officer in Hospitality industry.
• Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations professionally.
• Basic first aid and CPR knowledge (certification preferred).
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing risks.
