Job summary

Vistra in Malaysia is hiring an Associate, Fund Service (Accounting) to join our Fund Services team. The role reports to the Assistant Manager/Manager and supports accounting for Private Equity and Singapore-domiciled funds, with regional coverage from Malaysia.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Accounting with 1–2 years' accounting or audit experience, excellent English, and strong organizational skills. Mandarin is a plus; hybrid work option available.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
1–2 years' accounting or financial audit experience.
Fluent English; Mandarin is an added advantage.
Strong prioritizing and organizational skills.
Analytical, meticulous and systematic approach.
Ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure and multitask.
Independent, resourceful and self-motivated.
Private Equity/Real Estate or fund industry experience preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

Account for a portfolio of Private Equity and Closed Ended Funds and Singapore-incorporated entities.
Record all accounting transactions and prepare work papers, management accounts, financial statements, and net asset values.
Prepare bank reconciliations and consolidation workings.
Prepare capital calls, distributions, waterfalls and notices.
Coordinate audits and draft financial statements with related disclosures.
Monitor Singapore GST, tax deadlines and filings; respond to client queries.
